Nancy Stinson Harris was placed as the national vice president of corporate partnerships for the Muscular Dystrophy Association<\/a>, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The MDA is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and other neuromuscular diseases through funding worldwide research, providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide, and rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising, and local engagement. In her position, Nancy is responsible for the implementation of the organization’s new corporate partnership program, which will drive revenue for a broad array of programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nancy brings to the position over 20 years of experience in corporate partnership leadership with one of the most prominent non-profit health organizations in the country. She has had extensive cause marketing experience, and has proven herself to be an innovative, results-oriented business development professional with expertise in engaging key partners and devising winning sales strategies and solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining the MDA, Nancy served as the vice president of corporate alliances and the associate publisher for the American Diabetes Association in Alexandria, Virginia, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the cause of diabetes. She was responsible for leading all corporate development and media sales efforts for the organization, which had a budget of $190 million and approximately 850 staff members nationwide. During her five-year tenure in this position, Nancy grew the ADA’s corporate partnership portfolio from nothing to over $17 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, Nancy served the ADA as managing director of corporate alliances, national director of corporate development, associate director of corporate development, and manager of corporate relations. Prior to her 22-year tenure with the ADA, Nancy served as a development officer for the BRASS Foundation, one of Chicago’s most lauded non-profit substance abuse treatment and prevention organizations. She began her career as a public relations director for a Chicago-area radio station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nancy is originally from Chicago, and earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She and her husband currently reside in Dallas, where Nancy enjoys jogging, playing tennis, reading, and volunteering with Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that provides business attire to low-income women.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
