Clinnis Adams <\/strong>was placed as the assistant vice president of laboratory services for the Georgia market of Atrium Health. One of the nation’s most comprehensive public, not-for-profit health systems, Atrium is continually recognized both locally and nationally for its commitment to delivering efficient, quality care, and has earned distinctions from many top accrediting and ranking organizations. The health system’s Georgia market is comprised of the legacy Navicent Health and Floyd systems located in Macon and Floyd, respectively, representing over 1,300 beds and over 10,000 employees providing medical, surgical, rehabilitation, diagnostic, behavioral health, and hospice and home care services. In his role, Clinnis will be responsible for all testing and testing-related diagnostic laboratory services for his region, directing the laboratory entities’ daily operations by formulating goals, establishing standards of practice, leading quality and compliance, and advancing strategic direction; he will also oversee clinical relations and the coordination of laboratory services with clinical programs and service lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinnis comes to Navicent from HealthTrust, the supply chain engine supporting HCA Healthcare’s network. As a contracted regional laboratory services leader, Clinnis successfully stabilized a region of four large facilities in the greater Los Angeles area whose performance had been steadily declining, by recruiting new talent, repositioning departments for better workflow, and standardizing processes and procedures to best practices. He led project implementations and made recommendations regarding strategic planning, business development and service line growth, and quality improvement plans, quickly achieving notable gains for the facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, Clinnis served as the director of clinical laboratory services for Texas Health Presbyterian Rockwall; as the director of lab quality operations and compliance for Strategic Ancillary Services, a privately held lab services company in Dallas; as a regional laboratory operations manager for Baylor Scott & White Health system’s Emerus business unit, which partners on the development of micro-hospitals across the country; and as the laboratory manager for The Medical Center of Arlington in Arlington, Texas. He began his career as a medical technologist in the laboratory setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Clinnis holds a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Michigan State University, and an MBA in healthcare administration and management from the University of Texas in Tyler. He is a certified medical technologist and a member of the American College of Healthcare Professionals and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Clinnis and his wife are the parents of one grown child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QLK’s Jamie Cassedy<\/a> led the search to recruit Clinnis to Atrium, where his duties will begin on December 5, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
